Medical Assistant/Glendale (Intermediate Level) Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant in the Glendale area to support both clinical and administrative functions in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This role is essential in ensuring efficient daily operations while delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining accurate medical records. The ideal candidate is experienced in patient interaction, comfortable using EMR systems, and able to manage multiple responsibilities with professionalism and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities * Obtain and accurately record patient medical histories, vitals, and test results * Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) with strict confidentiality * Coordinate day-to-day administrative functions, including: * Appointment scheduling * Patient check-in and check-out * Medical record maintenance * Prepare examination and treatment rooms for patient visits * Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures and patient care * Provide basic patient education and instructions as needed * Support referrals and authorizations processing Required Qualifications * Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory or clinical setting * Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems * Strong understanding of patient care workflows and clinical support tasks * Experience with appointment scheduling and front-office coordination Core Skills * Medical assisting * EMR/EHR systems * Patient care * Appointment scheduling Additional Skills & Competencies * Experience with referrals and authorizations * Strong customer service skills and patient-focused mindset * Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities * High attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glendale, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
