Job Description:

A Casual Employee Project GLAD Trainer will be contracted on an hourly basis for Project GLAD Foundations Training (2-day Research and Theory Workshop and 4-day Classroom Demonstration). Primary responsibilities associated with this job will be to plan for, calendar with, and present along side the ACPS Project GLAD team to deliver Foundations Training both for ACPS educators and for districts outside ACPS. This position will report to the Project GLAD Specialist/RTC Director in the Office of English Learner Services.

Note that this position is funded through nonlocal funds and this position is dependent on the continuation of these funds beyond June 30, 2027.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in Education; EL Certification preferred

Certificates and License: A valid Virginia Department of Education license is required, or eligibility to obtain one.

Experience:



  • Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience, EL preferred
  • Evidence of active Project GLAD agency trainer status, routine use of Project GLAD strategies, and dynamic presentation and facilitation skills are required.
  • K-12 teacher, coach, teacher leader
  • Active Project GLAD Agency Trainer (Tier III Trainer) Status
  • Knowledge and regular use of the Google Suite and CANVAS tools



Essential Functions



  • Work collaboratively with the Project GLAD Specialist to plan for, prepare for, and deliver OCDE Project GLAD Foundations Training
  • Support in the development of the OCDE Project GLAD Regional Training Center
