Aquent is partnering with a leading company dedicated to animal well-being and care, transforming the way pets receive attention and support. This organization is committed to innovation and providing exceptional experiences for both animals and their human companions. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join their team and play a pivotal role in shaping their digital presence.

Are you a creative powerhouse with a passion for storytelling and a knack for capturing authentic moments? Our client is looking for someone to be the driving force behind their visual social media presence, directly impacting how they connect with their audience. You'll be the creative engine, bringing to life the heartwarming stories of dedicated professionals, their compassionate staff, and the beloved animals they care for. This is your chance to make a tangible difference, scaling their channel and elevating their brand through compelling, platform-native content.

What You'll Do

  • Capture in-facility content: Regularly visit care facilities to shoot live-action footage of professionals and staff interacting with animals and each other. You will manage your own camera work, basic lighting, and audio, adapting to unscripted, real moments in dynamic environments.
  • Produce and edit video content: Create 4-5 video assets weekly, optimized for visual social platforms (e.g., short-form video, stories, carousels). Develop scroll-stopping hooks, master pacing, incorporate on-screen text, perform color grading, and finalize audio to ensure each piece feels native to the platform while upholding brand voice.
  • Design supporting graphics: Develop static graphic posts, quote cards, and motion graphics that complement video content. This includes quote overlays, behind-the-scenes visuals, and educational posts, requiring genuine design expertise beyond template usage.
  • Collaborate on content strategy: Work with the team to brainstorm content pillars, identify trending angles, and plan shoots during facility visits, bringing your social-first perspective to resonate with the audience.
  • Achieve content targets: Consistently deliver approximately 6 assets per week, comprising a mix of video and static graphics, maintaining high quality and consistency while meeting deadlines.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven background in social-first content creation, demonstrating a deep understanding of platform dynamics, audience psychology, and what drives engagement on visual social platforms.
  • Expert-level video editing skills, proficient in industry-standard software. You are comfortable with advanced editing techniques including pacing, sound design, color grading, motion graphics, and platform-specific optimization.
  • Strong design and graphics capability, able to create compelling layouts, typography, color treatments, and visual hierarchy using professional design software. Intentional design work is key, not just template modification.
  • Hands-on camera work and in-person shooting experience, comfortable operating a camera, understanding framing and composition, and adapting to unpredictable environments.
  • Resourceful and adaptable, thriving in fast-paced environments and adept at problem-solving on the fly with creative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of taking feedback, articulating creative decisions, and collaborating effectively within a lean team.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, able to manage your own shoot schedule, troubleshoot editing issues, and ensure the end-to-end quality of your work without extensive oversight.
  • The ability to travel regularly to various care facilities for content capture is essential for this role.

Desired Qualifications

  • While professional production experience is a plus, a strong portfolio of street-level content creation is highly valued.
  • We are flexible on years in the industry; what matters most is your demonstrated social-first thinking and ability to execute at a high level.
  • No specific e-commerce, animal care, or healthcare industry experience is required.
  • A formal portfolio or degree is not a prerequisite.
