How you will make an impactThe Senior Principal Scientist 1 is charged with leading, designing, conducting, and analyzing experimental work to support Halozyme's drug delivery platform, alliance collaborations, and device research. This position identifies and develops technical innovations to promote future business growth and improvements that meet Halozyme's and its partners' requirements. The Senior Principal Scientist 1 brings expertise in subcutaneous (SC) drug delivery and familiarity with preclinical models in both large and small animals. They engage with several Halozyme departments such as Product Development, Business Development, Device Development, and Intellectual Property Council. They also partner with Drug Delivery teams at alliances to lead discussions, compile and present data, attend meetings, and review clinical and regulatory materials as needed. Environmental Conditions: Physical Activities: On a continuous basis, be at a desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer the telephone and type on a computer. Some walking and lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Laboratory Activities, if applicable: Biology and chemical laboratory environments experience needed. Environmental health and safety requirements also apply. Travel: Travel may be required up to 20% of your time. The most likely base pay range for this position is $180,000 - $240,000 per year. Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual's exact level of compensation. Base salary is only one element of employee compensation at Halozyme. Total compensation could include bonuses, sales incentives, and equity awards.
