Location: Beaverton, OR (On-site)

Duration: 12-month contract


About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Wireless Network Engineer to join a global technology team supporting large-scale enterprise wireless infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving challenging connectivity issues, and can lead wireless initiatives from design through deployment and optimization.

You will play a critical role in ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing wireless networks across a diverse global footprint, including corporate offices, retail locations, and distribution environments.


What You'll Do

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise wireless networks across multiple sites
  • Architect and manage secure wireless solutions, including authentication and access control
  • Serve as the highest-level escalation point for complex wireless issues, including RF performance and client connectivity
  • Conduct wireless site surveys (predictive and active) and optimize network performance based on findings
  • Deploy and leverage client monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve end-user experience issues
  • Partner cross-functionally with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable solutions
  • Drive standardization, documentation, and best practices for wireless engineering
  • Mentor and support junior engineers while contributing to a collaborative team environment


What You Bring

  • 8+ years of wireless network engineering experience in large-scale, enterprise environments
  • Strong expertise in enterprise wireless technologies, particularly within Cisco-based environments (or equivalent platforms)
  • Hands-on experience with network access control systems (e.g., RADIUS, AAA, policy management)
  • Advanced knowledge of WiFi design and RF engineering, including site surveys and performance optimization
  • Experience with wireless analysis and monitoring tools to troubleshoot and improve client performance
  • Solid understanding of network fundamentals (switching, DHCP, DNS, security best practices)
  • Proven ability to lead projects end-to-end from concept through deployment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences


Nice to Have

  • Industry certifications in wireless networking (e.g., CWNA, CWSP, CWDP, or equivalent)
  • Experience working in global, multi-site environments
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and vendor support processes
  • Background in high-density or consumer-facing environments (retail, campuses, etc.)
  • Experience mentoring or guiding other engineers
