(On-site) Assessment Coordinator - Carruth Center for Counseling and Psychological Services

The Carruth Center for Counseling and Psychological Services at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for an Assessment Coordinator.

About the Opportunity

The Assessment Coordinator oversees the Learning Disorder and ADHD testing services at CCCPS and coordinates closely with the Office of Student Accommodations (OSA) for referrals. This position trains and supervises the Predoctoral Interns to administer, score, and interpret a variety of assessments and complete assessment reports to be provided to OSA for accommodation purposes.

What You'll Do

Assessment Responsibilities

• Train Predoctoral interns on the administration and scoring of multiple assessment instruments, best practices on writing assessment reports, providing accurate feedback to clients.
• Facilitate a weekly Assessment Seminar for Predoctoral Interns.
• In collaboration with the Training Director, work to maintain APA accreditation standards of the Predoctoral Internship program including, but not limited to, completion of Predoctoral Intern evaluations and creating an annual syllabus for Assessment Seminar.
• Provide timely feedback on drafts of Predoctoral Intern's assessment reports and finalize signed reports.
• Ensure assessments are completed and feedback is provided within agreed upon deadlines.
• Coordinate with the Office of Student Accommodations to oversee referral and assessment efforts, addressing any issues that may arise.
• Keep inventory of assessment supplies and needs to be considered in future fiscal year budgets (e.g. updated assessments) and keep Director, Training Director, and Senior Office Administrator aware of these needs as they arise.
• Develop new and improve existing protocols for assessment.
• Provide education to Center staff and trainees on assessments being used at the Center.
• Support the Clinical Director/Leadership Team in developing, distributing, and interpreting the results of client satisfaction surveys.
• Support the Outreach Coordinator in developing and interpreting results of outreach evaluations

Staff Psychologist Responsibilities

• Provide multiculturally sensitive brief counseling and psychotherapy services (in person and virtually) for individual students and groups with diverse presenting concerns.
• Provide clinical services including, but not limited to, assessment, treatment planning, short-term counseling, crisis intervention, psychoeducation, group therapy, and case management.
• Conduct comprehensive intake evaluations, triage assessments, and participate in crisis intervention services and after-hours coverage as assigned.
• Administer and documents risk assessments and risk-reduction interventions.
• Inconjunctionwith the leadership team, and front-line staff, support counseling center emergency response with campus and communitystakeholders. Provide on-call supervisionand is availablefor afterhoursand operational hours consultation from the Director, campus partners, staff, and timely on-site interventions in the event of campus student emergencies.
• Coordinate case management for students requiring specialized or longer-term care.
• Provide consultation to students, faculty, staff, families, and campus partners.

• Counseling or Clinical Psychology (Ph.D., Ed.D., or Psy.D.) from an accredited program or a terminal degree in applicant's respective mental health field.
  Experience administering, scoring, and writing multiple LD/ADHD assessment reports including, but not limited to IVA 2+, WJ ACH V, DKEFS I, and WAIS V.
• Experience clinically supervising.

• One-year full time predoctoral internship in an APA-accredited Professional Psychology program that includes a primary rotation in adult outpatient counseling/therapy and counseling.

• Licensed (or license-eligible within six months) within the State of West Virginia.
• Competency within license to provide LD/ADHD and Personality assessment
