Supervisor, Sterile Processing

As aSupervisor, Sterile Processing,you'llbe the driving force behind a high-performing team, ensuring top-tier instrument processing and staff management at our contracted healthcare facilities.You'lldeliver hands-on support, expert training, and exceptional customer servicewhile upholding the highest standards set by STERIS, regulatory bodies like TJC, OSHA, CDC, and industry leaders such as AAMI and AORN. This is an onsite role based in Durham, NC, supporting afternoon shift, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.

• Lead and inspire the Sterile Processing Department team during your assigned shift, ensuring smooth operations and high performance.

  Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings with direct reports to provide feedback, set clear expectations, and drive accountability and professional growth.

  Support the planning and execution of new employee orientation, on-the-job training, in-service education, and quality assurance programs in coordination with the manager.

  Play a key role in interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching Customeremployeesas outlined in the contract.

  Oversee all aspects of sterile processing operations, including decontamination, cleaning, assembly, sterilization, and storage-ensuring compliance with all professional standards and regulations.

• Step in to perform Sterile Processing Technician duties when needed tomaintainserviceexcellenceand meet delivery timelines.

  Serve as a communication bridge by following the proper chain of command and responding to Customer and end-user inquiries during and after business hours.

  Assist in reviewing documentation related to STERIS Standard Operating Procedures and ensure team compliance with all policies.

  Conduct daily observations toidentifyopportunities for process improvement and enhance employee performance and compliance.

  Championa safe work environment by enforcing the use of PPE, universal precautions, and conducting daily safety checks.

  Work closely with the Education team toidentifytraining needs and support the delivery of impactful learning experiences.
