The primary goal of the Shop Foreman is to maintain Crisdel's vehicle and equipment fleet in a safe, legal and efficient operating condition to supply our field crews with the
necessary to safely and efficiently perform their construction tasks while minimizing downtime. This can only be achieved through proper preventative maintenance. To achieve this individual will manage
the scheduling and supervision of the equipment maintenance personnel.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Assure maintenance personnel are qualified for the task they will perform and assure safety is the primary concern.
  • Schedule maintenance personnel for PM and repair work based on Equipment 360 schedule, fault codes, hotline calls, direct conversations with field personnel and observations.
  • Follow up with field personnel and keep them updated as to the status of the repair and/or scheduled maintenance.
  • Assure PM and Repair work is performed to Crisdel standards and manufacturers recommendations. Additionally ensure that the appearance of Crisdel's fleet is maintained to our standards as well.
  • Prioritize workflow.
  • Assure all maintenance personnel are working in harmony and assist each other as needed.
  • Assist in the development and professional growth of all maintenance personnel.
  • Report status changes immediately for out of service or back in service equipment/vehicles to Equipment Supervisor.
  • Coordinate with equipment supervisor and site personnel any maintenance plans.
  • Approve vendor invoices and timecards daily.
  • Order and maintain steady parts flow.
  • Ensure that Crisdel's shop is constantly maintained in a neat and orderly at all times.
  • Work closely with the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to ensure these responsibilities and goals are completed daily and as needed

  • Maintain a positive working relationship between co-workers and employees of subcontractors, vendors, inspectors and agency individuals working on a Crisdel job site.
  • Work in a productive and efficient manner while maintaining the highest level of quality work.
  • Be self-motivated and ambitious.
  • Be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Report to work on time, take meal breaks only during the allocated time periods and report back to work until the end of the designated shift.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as Mechanic
  • Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components
  • Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc.
  • A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
  • Very good communication skills
  • A problem-solving ability
  • High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is a definite plus
  • Valid certification (e.g ASE) is preferred
  • CDL and experience a plus
  • Must have a good driving record
