Fleet Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager will act as the primary leader on the contract and will manage the day-to-day operations on the contract, ensuring all regulatory requirements and dictated timelines are met and ensuring the contract is phased in and executed within the budget set in the proposal documents. The Project Manager will be responsible for the P/L of the program and will be accountable for financial performance. Will sets all policies and directives to ensure good order and discipline of contract employees. Will ensure staffing is managed to adequately achieve the contract objectives and will staff the contract with certified and qualified employees that meet the contract requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Staff the contract with certified and qualified employees that meet the contract requirements
  • Identify processes and procedures to facilitate the efficient execution of work that achieves the highest margins on target and non-target work
  • Set policies to ensure good order and discipline on the contract
  • Manage workforce to complete all contract requirements
  • Serve as the main customer point of contact on all contract issues
  • Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS



  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Valid Professional Licenses in related field
  • 5 years in the last 10 years providing fleet management services to a fleet of 300-500 or more vehicles
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must have 5 years' of demonstrated Project Management experience with sole P/L responsibility managing fleet contracts of 1000 vehicles or larger
  • Must have 10-15 years of progressive operational experience on fleet programs demonstrating progressive leadership experience culminating in at least 5 years at the Project Management level conducting vehicle management and repair services
  • May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
