We're seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to support two of our affordable housing communities in the Madison, WI area. As part of our team, you'll help ensure our residents have a safe, comfortable place to call home by providing quality maintenance and exceptional service. What You'll Do:
Complete daily maintenance and repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances. Maintain exterior of the property along with tackling seasonal prep such as fall cleanup and snow removal. Perform daily property walks to keep everything clean, safe, and looking sharp. Respond promptly to routine and emergency maintenance requests when assigned. Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using make-ready checklists. Inspect buildings and grounds to maintain safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal. Maintain common areas, exterior spaces, and grounds. Communicate with vendors, contractors, co-workers and residents.
What You'll Bring:
Minimum of two years of previous experience in property management maintenance, building maintenance, or related trade. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair. Customer service mindset and teamwork skills. Ability to be on call for emergencies. Valid driver's license and ability to meet insurability requirements. Strong customer service skills with a resident-first mindset. High school diploma or equivalent required. HVAC-EPA (Type II), or EPA Universal preferred.
