The HR Specialist runs the day-to-day administration behind OnPath's people programs: recruitment, benefits, leave, talent management, and employee records. This role is the HR team's central admin seat. It handles the transactions that keep programs accurate and on time, and it is the first point of contact for employee HR questions. The work frees the Director and Manager of HR to focus on strategy, leader partnership, and program design.
The role works daily with the Manager of HR on benefits, leave, and HRIS work, and with TQC, OnPath's recruitment CUSO, on hiring logistics.

Coordinate new hire onboarding: paperwork, I-9 verification, system setup requests, and first-day logistics and Orientation setup, uniform orders as applicable.
BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION
Process benefits enrollments, qualifying life events, and terminations in the HRIS and carrier portals. Reconcile carrier eligibility and invoices with the Manager of HR; resolve discrepancies. Support open enrollment logistics: communications, employee questions, and data audits. Process COBRA notices and other required benefits notifications. Administration of all employee Service Award Programs.
LEAVE ADMINISTRATION
Administer FMLA, state leave, and other leaves of absence: notices, certifications, tracking, and return-to-work steps. Coordinate ADA accommodation paperwork and documentation with partnership from the Human Resources Manager. File and track workers' compensation claims and short- and long-term disability claims under direction of the Director of HR.
TALENT MANAGEMENT ADMINISTRATION
Run the calendar for annual goal setting, mid-year check-ins, and performance reviews; send reminders and track completion by leader. Track new hire 90-day reviews and other milestone check-ins. Maintain review and goal records in the HRIS and produce completion reports for HR leadership. Track required compliance training and other learning completions; follow up on overdue items. Prepare employee data for annual merit and compensation cycles.
EMPLOYEE RECORDS AND HRIS DATA
Enter and audit employee changes: new hires, transfers, pay changes, and terminations. Maintain personnel, medical, and I-9 files to OnPath's retention and confidentiality standards. Pull standard reports and support audits and data requests. Enter new hire data into required systems.
HR SERVICE DESK
Act as the first point of contact for employee HR questions; resolve routine issues and route the rest to the right owner. Process employment and income verifications. Keep HR forms, intranet pages, and FAQs current. Process NMLS licenses as applicable. Facilitate employee events. Other duties as assigned.
