Senior Packaging Acquisition Engineer

Are you an experienced packaging engineer looking to make an immediate impact on high-visibility acquisition and integration initiatives? We are seeking a Senior Packaging Acquisition Engineer to lead packaging strategy, risk assessment, and integration activities for complex projects in a regulated manufacturing environment.

This hybrid contract role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain teams while driving packaging solutions from due diligence through implementation.

• Lead packaging integration activities for acquisitions, transfers, and strategic business initiatives
• Develop packaging strategies, timelines, risk assessments, and mitigation plans
• Review test data, conduct gap analyses, and support packaging design decisions
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, protocols, reports, and DMRs
• Manage packaging component development, sourcing, and implementation activities
• Coordinate packaging verification and validation efforts while ensuring compliance with quality system requirements
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones
• Analyze packaging performance data and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
• Mentor technicians, interns, and project team members as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, Industrial, or related Engineering field
• 3+ years of experience in packaging engineering, packaging development, or manufacturing engineering
• Experience with design verification, validation, process validation, and technical documentation
• Knowledge of packaging materials, packaging equipment, and testing methodologies
• Experience in a regulated industry preferred, including medical device, pharmaceutical, or advanced manufacturing environments
• Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel as needed
