Founded in 1986, Precision Concrete operates on a diverse set of projects throughout the construction industry. Projects cover market sectors such as retail, healthcare, entertainment, institutional, airport, heavy industrial and multifamily.

Position Summary

Prepare quantity surveys of work to be performed, preparation of estimate and formal proposal or bid.

Essential Job Functions



  • Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
  • Interface with clients and represent company in a positive way.
  • Obtain material supplier and subcontractor quotations as required.
  • Prepare accurate quantity survey and final estimate for work scope.
  • Produce, collect, and distribute preconstruction RFI's.
  • Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures.
  • Participate in proposal presentations to Clients.
  • Participates in project hand-off meetings.
  • Track awarded contracts as required - may include estimating/pricing extra work items, change orders, etc.
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's directions.
  • Support other department personnel as required.


Job Requirements



  • Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations or technical training or job-related experience.
  • Previous preconstruction experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to prepare estimates with minimum supervision and to prepare written proposal or bid.
  • Must be able to retain concentration for extended periods of time, pay attention to detail and mentally construct the project. Personal maturity is an important attribute.
  • Ability to meet with clients and interact in a professional environment.
  • Must be interested in becoming part of a team and not just a "9 to 5 person.
