Integrative Therapy Practitioner - Per Diem

The Integrative Therapy practitioner provides Reiki, Cranio-sacral therapy and Jin Shin Jyutsu (R) to patients upon referral from the attending physician on the Extended Recovery Unit and the Brain Trauma Unit. Communicates accurately and effectively with patients, families and members of the interdisciplinary team. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job. Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of an Integrative Therapy Practitioner at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

1. Provides Reiki, Cranio-sacral and Jin Shin Jyutsu therapy to patients on the Brain Trauma Unit and Extended Recovery Unit.
2. Implements care in a knowledgeable, skillful and consistent manner, utilizing procedures, protocols and standards of care.
3. Provides education to staff, patients and their caregivers.
4. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to evaluate patient outcomes and works to improve the process of patient care delivery within the Center for Brain Injury.
5. Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
6. Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy or related field.
2. Minimum 3 years experience in rehabilitation setting.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

1. Brain Injury experience.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

1. Occupational Therapist License.
2. Certificates in Jin Shin Jyutsu and Cranio-sacral Therapy/Somatosensory Emotional Release, Reiki attunement.
