Individuals will be contacted by the department if they reach the finalist stage for teaching a particular course or set of courses. Apply for this Job Posting Details Job ID: 141272 Rank: Assistant Professor College/School: Chicago, IL - College of Science and Health Responsibilities: We are seeking to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Community Psychology, to begin in September 2025. Ideal candidates will have a PhD in Community Psychology or a related academic area with a focus in trauma-related research. Candidates will have the skills to develop, expand, and lead a master's-level internship-based academic program with direct community outreach. The selected candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, maintain a productive research agenda, and direct undergraduate and graduate student research while contributing to a climate of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Ideal candidates will also have expertise or experience relevant to community outreach as well as program development, and administration. The desired area of teaching and/or research should focus on traumatized populations (broadly defined) and trauma-informed care. About DePaul University's Academic Calendar: Except for the College of Law, DePaul University operates on a quarter system. Classes in Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters are 11 weeks in length (including finals week) and Summer courses, in two sessions, are typically 5 weeks in length. The College of Law operates on the semester system. Classes in the Fall and Spring semesters are 16 weeks in length (including finals week) and it offers a Summer Session of 7 weeks (including final exams). Salary Information: The salary range for this 10-month position is $81,500 - $86,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
