JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Department of Psychology at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA, USA, welcomes applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Psychology to join our top-ranked Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology program (https://psych.la.psu.edu/graduate/program-areas/industrial-organizational) with an anticipated start date of August 2025. Areas of research and teaching expertise are open and may include (but is not limited to) research methods/advanced statistics and selection/performance management. Candidate expertise is open. We are especially interested in candidates withexpertise in research methods/advanced statistics and selection/performance management. We would also welcome candidates with expertise in topics including (but not limited to): leadership, diversity, occupational health, careers/work-family, climate and culture, and/or the future of work. Rich opportunities exist for collaboration within the department and across campus, and a record of collaboration is desirable for both ranks. Substantial collaboration opportunities exist if the candidate has interests that align with any of the department's cross-cutting research themes. Responsibilities of the Assistant or Associate Professor of I-O Psychology include maintaining a strong record of publications in top outlets. This position will include resident instruction at the undergraduate and graduate level and normal university service. A Ph.D. in I-O Psychology or a related field is required by the appointment date for both ranks. Candidates for the tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychology position must have demonstrated ability as a researcher, scholar, and teacher and evidence of growth in scholarly achievement that is commensurate with years of experience. Duties will involve a combination of teaching, research, and service, based on the candidate's qualifications. Candidates for the tenure-track Associate Professor of Psychology position must have demonstrated excellence as a researcher, scholar, and teacher and have an established reputation in scholarly achievement. Duties will involve a combination of teaching, research, and service, based on the candidate's qualifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong record of publications in top outlets and have a history of or potential for external funding. In addition, successful candidates must either have demonstrated a commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community, or describe one or more ways they would envision doing so, given the opportunity.
