This Technical Manager will cover the role of Liaison engineer between New Orleans Customer and Baker Hughes Service Engineering located in Houston and Florence. The primary responsibilities will be managing technologies, specifically reciprocating and centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, centrifugal pumps. Will also be the primary entry point between the shop and field service support whenever the technicians require technical consultation.

As a Technical Account Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Canadian customer installed base of gas turbines and compressors including activities such as customer issue resolution, product bulletin implementation, monitoring and diagnostics, and fleet management.
  • Conducting Outage Management: support customer outage planning and preparation and fast issue resolution during outage execution
  • Leading the technical communication for technical investigations/ RCA, collaborate with global experts to optimize customer equipment Reliability and Availability, and manage critical KPIs.
  • Presenting projects plans, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders within technical space and occasionally to senior leaders in partner technical teams
  • Communicating solutions across the own function and with cross-functional partner organizations

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor degree in Engineering or 10+ yrs of professional experience
  • Have experience in design engineering, repair development, and/or field service of rotary machines including gas turbines
  • Have impressive interpersonal and leadership skills and the ability to influence others and lead small teams and coordinate several projects simultaneously
  • Possess effective problem identification and solution skills, as well as analytical and organizational ability
