The Surveying & Geomatics team is seeking a Survey Project Manager in Bellingham, WA.

As Survey Project Manager, you will oversee project scopes, schedules, and budgets for a wide range of services including boundary, topographic, ALTA, right-of-way, and construction surveys. You'll serve as a mentor to junior team members while also coordinating with internal and external partners to ensure exceptional project delivery.

What You'll Do Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, scopes, and client expectations
  • Perform and review boundary calculations and topographic survey data
  • Oversee quality control for drawings, plats, ALTA maps, and construction staking calculations
  • Guide and support survey crews and office staff, promoting professional development
  • Lead proposal writing and collaborate on project pursuits
  • Ensure compliance with DEA processes for project accounting, documentation, and quality
  • Coordinate with the Geomatics Group and Delivery Leaders to align staffing and project commitments
  • Collaborate with DEA's engineering and planning teams to support integrated project delivery
What You Bring Required Qualifications:
  • Land Surveyor-in-Training (LSIT) certification
  • 8 or more years of experience in land surveying
  • Proven ability to manage projects and mentor technical staff
  • Strong communication and client interaction skills
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D and general understanding of engineering plan sets
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Washington
  • Familiarity with state and county mapping standards
  • Experience with Trimble Business Center
