Tesla is seeking a highly motivated hands-on Manufacturing Engineer for a position in the Energy Manufacturing Engineering group as part of the "machine that builds the machine". The role is focused on working within a cross functional team to design and develophigh quality, efficient manufacturing equipment and processes that will produceproducts for Tesla Energy. What You'll Do
What You'll Bring
- 2+ years of experience as Mechanical/Manufacturing/Automation Engineer with focus in automation, machine design, robotics, and product development
- Experience using 2D CAD tools for conceptual line design (AutoCAD)and 3D design for mechanical equipment, fixturing, and tooling (SolidWorks or CATIA)
- Experience transitioning products and processes from prototype to production
- Experience with conveyance, transducer-based fastening systems, robotic systems (prefer Fanuc)
- Experience creating technical specifications for automated manufacturing equipment
- Experience providing Design for Manufacturability and Automation
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field, or equivalent experience
