The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia is in search of a Lead Teller (Lead Customer Service Representative). This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Finance & Treasury (OFT), Revenue Operations Division. The incumbent serves as a lead customer service representative performing site management responsibilities, handling the processing of cash and cash-like instruments, disbursing cash and reconciliation of all documents.

Duties include, but are not limited to:



  • Bulk deposits for internal agencies, daily vault audits, consolidation and reconciliation of the customer service representatives' individual banks
  • Accounting for all irregularities in balancing the days' work and ensuring shortage guidelines are followed
  • Preparing processed cash, checks, money orders and credit cards for both electronic transmission and manual deposit via armored courier
  • Overseeing the training of all employees on-site, monitoring the adherence to OFT procedures and making on-the-spot decisions
  • Performing other related duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications: Two (2) years of general work experience performing duties related to assisting and responding to general customer inquiries, registering, processing and reconciling monetary transactions; an additional one (1) year of specialized experience performing duties related to handling the processing of cash and cash-like instruments, performing audits, disbursing cash and reconciling various financial documents that is equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for this position. Mandatory Schedule: Monday-Friday and Tuesday-Saturday As Business Needs
