Overview

The Associate Director, Government Pricing 340b & Analytics is a strategic role responsible for owning and leading the enterprise 340B strategy, execution, and compliance, as well as serving as the data and analytics lead for government pricing programs. This role is critical to driving cross-functional alignment and operational excellence across programs such as the 340B Drug Pricing Program and Medicaid Drug Rebate Program, with a focus on mitigating risk, optimizing gross-to-net, and informing business decisions through robust forecasting and analytics. This role will work closely with the multiple organizational stakeholders including Public Policy, Legal, Finance, and Market Access.

This individual will serve as the enterprise subject matter expert on 340B, responsible for building the strategy, leading internal and external stakeholder engagement, and implementing process improvements to ensure program integrity and value. In addition, the Associate Director will lead government program analytics, including forecast modeling, contract analytics, and pricing impact analyses, to guide strategic decision-making across the organization.


Primary responsibilities for this leadership position include, but are not limited to:

340B Program Ownership and Leadership

  • Serve as the enterprise lead for the 340B Drug Pricing Program, owning the development, execution, and optimization of a long-term 340B strategy in partnership with Legal, Trade, Public Policy, Finance, and Market Access.
  • Build and lead a 340B Center of Excellence (COE) to drive enterprise knowledge, best practices, and continuous improvement related to the evolving 340B landscape.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce duplicate discounts (Medicaid, Commercial, Medicare, 340B), enhancing program compliance and minimizing financial exposure.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of a robust site eligibility vetting process for 340B participation; partner cross-functionally to ensure integration with systems and compliance infrastructure.
  • Manage external vendors supporting duplicate discount validation and 340B data integrity, ensuring optimal contract performance and operational efficiency.

Government Programs Data & Analytics Leadership

  • Lead the development of government program forecasting models at the brand level, providing insights to support financial planning and brand strategy.
  • Drive analytical rigor in support of Government Pricing, including development of pricing models, contract impact assessments, and Best Price evaluations.
  • Deliver actionable insights to executive leadership by analyzing the financial and strategic impact of new and existing contracts, policies, and market dynamics on government pricing and gross-to-net.
  • Create tools and frameworks to support accurate and timely government price reporting in compliance with all federal requirements.
  • Manage external vendors supporting forecast models and analytics.

Cross-functional Collaboration and Communication

  • Act as a strategic advisor and thought leader to senior leadership, sharing data-driven insights to influence decisions across Public Policy, Finance, Legal, Trade, and Market Access.
  • Lead preparation and delivery of presentations, dashboards, and reports to executive stakeholders that highlight risk mitigation strategies, program performance, and key compliance issues.

Qualifications

  • Requires minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree a plus.
  • A minimum of 10 years in the healthcare industry with significant financial, reporting, forecasting and modeling experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of Payer and Government Pricing environment strongly preferred.
  • Candidates should have working knowledge of the compliance and regulatory environment for manufacturers in the pharmaceutical space.

  • Analytical and modeling expertise, financial acumen, ability to see, visualize and tell a story.
  • Excellent leadership, management and organizational skills, along with problem solving, conflict resolution and team building.
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, execute, follow up and anticipate problems.
  • Financial and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy to ensure compliance with timelines, internal policies, laws and regulations.
