Overview:

The Senior Director of Talent Management will play a pivotal role in shaping and operationalizing Alnylam's enterprise talent philosophy. This leader will drive the design, execution, and ongoing evolution of core people processes-including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership assessment-ensuring they are seamlessly aligned to our business strategy, culture, and future capability needs.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Talent Management and a proven track record leading global talent processes that drive measurable outcomes.

We're seeking a strategic thinker -someone who is naturally curious and collaborative, thrives in dynamic environments, and brings a thoughtful, data-informed approach to building high-impact, human-centered talent solutions. This individual partners effectively across HR and business leaders to strengthen talent, leadership, and organizational health.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of Alnylam's enterprise-wide talent strategy, including performance management, talent reviews, leadership assessment, and organizational health.
  • Lead the enterprise-wide performance management process to drive a high-performance culture rooted in clarity, feedback, and accountability
  • Oversee the design and execution of annual talent reviews, with a focus on identifying top talent, assessing potential, and development needs.
  • Define and deploy scalable talent assessment frameworks to inform key talent decisions across the employee lifecycle
  • Track and analyze talent metrics and insights to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives and recommend data-driven improvements.
  • Oversee the design and rollout of Alnylam's Leadership Competency Framework and drive its integration across core talent processes
  • Partner with HRIS to ensure systems effectively enable talent processes and enhance the employee experience.
  • Serve as a thought partner to HRBPs and business leaders to ensure talent efforts align with strategic goals and future capability needs
  • Bring an external perspective to continuously evolve and improve talent practices, ensuring they remain relevant, data informed, and business-aligned

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Talent Management, with a strong foundation in performance management, succession planning, talent reviews, and leadership assessment
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or Organizational Development.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement enterprise-wide talent strategies and processes that drive measurable business impact
  • Proven experience in design and implement talent assessment tools and frameworks globally to inform development and talent decisions
  • Skilled at translating data and insights into action-leveraging both internal and external benchmarks to continuously improve talent outcomes
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working across HR COEs and HRBPs, with the ability to influence and partner effectively at multiple levels of the organization
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring teams; comfortable operating in matrixed, high-growth, or global environments
